Shop Indie - "Vintage Style" Aprons
As a work at home mom of two boys I wear many hats in one day. One of my most favorites is my chef's hat. I don't really wear a hat, but with two boys and a husband you get the idea. The kitchen is one of my most favorite rooms to be in. I love entertaining, creating new recipes, and a lot of joy comes from bringing something nutritional and delicious to my family's table. Did I mention I'm a really messy cook? I love it though my oldest son puts on his little apron, we get our hands involved and bake up some goodies.
When I decided to write about aprons I had no idea how huge the love for aprons was. My aprons consist of white,off white and denim. How boring! When I started my research for this topic I found myself wanting to buy every single one of them. There are so many talented designers, sewing geniuses and collectors it was so hard to choose from. I have a couple of great ones for you to choose from! I say throw out your boring old apron and put on a little something special!

I love this Sunshine apron from Made By Tess. It's cheerful bright colors get you ready for spring vegetables and out door grilling with it's half apron style. $35.00

Shop Indie - Vintage Inspired Paper Finds
Talk about love at first sight. My paper addiction is about to get way out of hand. There is just something about paper that has that vintage old feel to it. It's like finding an old love letter in your grandma's attic. It draws you closer to investigate it's past. When I look at these shops I get that same feeling as I look at each handmade paper treasure. What creates that feeling for you? Here are a few shops to get you started on your hunt.
If you like Vintage Chic, Etsy shop Hilary Whitney Designs is full of paper goodies for you. One of my personal favorites from her shop is her Paris Merci Thank you cards. Each is hand created with that old age feel and adorned with many embellishments. 
After browsing her shop, you may find it hard to choose between all of the wonderful goodies. No problem, at this shop they have unique themed samplers full of assorted goodies to coordinate with it's theme. How fun are those! 
Next on my vintage papery road trip is a stop at Etsy Papered Together. All of her items are created using a vintage platen press. My favorite is this adorable card. Not only is it handmade but it's created using a vintage style measuring cup to portray it's theme, "How much I miss you".
I'm always amazed by different artists styles.
To me this card is so simple, but with it's use of a vintage press and it's darling images it creates a richness I love!
If you just can't get enough of vintage style papery, then why not get a monthly Subscription from The Paper Princess's on line store. The Paper Princess offers to send out goodies to your door step once a month for three or six months depending on your subscription. You can also make a purchase from one of their many Vintage Inspired goods from their Etsy shop!
