Moisturizing 101

Start a moisturizing bathing ritual in five easy steps.

With today's busy schedules finding time is key, but very much important.Create a moisturizing & soothing routine simply starting with a bath & prepare yourself for the day or for a night of peaceful sleep.  Just a few minutes of moisturizing during and after your bath will set the tone for healthier skin.

1. Run warm bath water (not hot)

2.Choose your scent...
    Choose a brighter fresh scent to get you started for your day such as our Red Current & Thyme or our Citrus & Tea Tree (part of our Natural Blends collection) or slip into deep relaxation with our silky Jasmine Vanilla, True Lavender & Spiced Cocoa blends all of these plus more available in our Butter Beans.

3. Add a Deep Moisturizer to your Routine one to two times a week.
For Extremal Dry & Irritated Skin add a Rilacks Melt to your routine one to two times a week.Each Rilacks Melt is filled with cocoa butter,colloidal oatmeal & milk. Each as important as the next in maintaining healthy skin giving you a deep more concentrated moisturizer & barrier blocking harmful substances.

4. Slough Away Dead Skin Cells
It's important during your moisturizing routine to get rid of the dead skin cells left. Use our Wake Up Sugar Scrub once or twice a week and massage into your skin and gently rinse. This will slough away unwanted flakes and wake up the beautiful glowing skin underneath.

5. Keep the moisture in.
There is no better time to moisturize your skin than right after you step out of your bath. While your skin is still plump and able to absorb moisturizer slather on a moisturizing Wherever Body Cream or a rich Butter Bar. It's key to use one of these within 2-3 minutes of getting out of the tub to achieve ultimate moisture.
